The "Antichrist" For Smart People

At the time of this post the world is under the thumb of rogue political forces enforcing an entire nation lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus. The martial law strategy has alot of Christians talking anti-christ/mark of the beast etc.

I felt compelled to respond on social media. This blog is from those posts. I asked my facebook friends to ask me questions about end times and the Book of Revelation. Then I responded to each question in-depth. The two main conversations revolved around the anti-christ and the mark of the beast.

Antichrist For "

Dummies":

To clarify my ideas on the subject of antichrist for you and everyone following this post. I am not convinced that antichrist is a single person or ultimately manifests in a single individual.

I know this goes against mainstream thought but after years of studying and teaching on the subject I discovered that many of my views were taught to me which is much different than personal discovery or revelation. I decided to re-exaine my eschatology in light of a renewed sense of hope for a better future.

One of my (re) discoveries is that I really couldn't build a single human antichrist/person out of raw biblical text. Here is an example. Notice that in Rev 13 the "beast" had to be given a mouth (meaning it didn't have one). Also notice that the "beast" is multi-headed.

And then in the same chapter there is another "beast" that rises out of the earth who then tells "those who dwell on the earth to make an image-of and worship the first beast. Then the image is given the ability to speak... etc... etc...

My is that I don't think there is a single antichrist person. I suspect it ends up being an actual image/idol of some kind that is supernaturally personified and multi-spirited. In other words straight-up idolatry on a global scale. Thus the need for a "false prophet" to articulate the deceptions... Therefore the modern day theological quest to figure out who the antichrist is would be a complete waste of time and energy and a form of deception in and of itself.

The "Mark Of The Beast" Made Simple:

The Covid19 vaccination push is no doubt an effort to control people for what I think are dubious purposes. But the idea of a child being given a vaccine that dooms them for eternity isnt acceptable to me.

The Bible says in Revelation 14:9-11, And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Notice that worhip is included in the angelic warning. The greek word is proskuneo. This means to pay homage to and recognize and reverence as a god.

In the late 90’s early 2000’s many scholars believed (and still do) that the Islamic symbol for Jihad (Bismalla) worn on the right arm and forehead of Jihadists qualify as the “mark”.

Whatever it is, it will be some form of allegiance to another God besides Jehovah.Very few people know that the symbol for Jihad called the Bissmallah looks identical the numbers 666 (616 in some transltions) in the Codex Vaticanus 4th century translation of scripture. Could John have prophesied the Jihadist symbol over 500 years before the birth of Islam? Hard to know...
